HBO has just released a full trailer fir its highly anticipated upcoming presentation of THE NORMAL HEART, which will air on Sunday, May 25, at 9pm on HBO. Fiddle supergroup Childsplay, a who's who of fiddlers, fiddles and fiddlemakers, has released As the Crow Flies, their sixth album in 26 years of performances throughout North America and Europe. In addition, the group has released a concert DVD Live from the Zeiterion Theatre. Both the CD and concert DVD are being released in advance of the group's upcoming Northeast tour dates.

The Waterbury Festival Playhouse offers up something dark this season: Mark Roberts' PARASITE DRAG. ('Parasite drag' is an aeronautical term that refers to the resistance caused by parts of an aircraft that don't contribute to lift.) This psychological drama tells the story of a family ripped apart by a terrible secret - a secret that remains unknown to the audience until close to the play's end.

San Diego's newest theatre group Different Stages opens their second production of the the season with 'The Dixie Swim Club' written by Jones, Hope and Wooten. Having just closed their season opener 'Burn This' by Lanford Wilson this five woman comedy swims into The Hall at Swedenborg Church October 12 and playing through October 26.

The Amoralists are concluding the "Summer of The Amoralists" with The Cheaters Club, written and directed by Amoralists co-founder and resident playwright Derek Ahonen. This world premiere features a cast of 26 actors in a Southern-sized Savannah ghost story that creeps out of the shadows.
